We may work with analytics and advertising services, including Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, Pinterest, and similar platforms, depending on the campaigns and technologies active on the Site.
These providers may receive information about your device, Site activity, product views, purchases, interactions with advertisements, and cookie identifiers. They may use this information to:
- measure traffic and campaign performance;
- attribute purchases to marketing campaigns;
- create or measure advertising audiences;
- prevent fraud and invalid advertising activity; and

We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
7. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
SALTUM does not sell personal information for money.
However, some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly. Under those definitions, our use of advertising cookies or disclosure of certain online identifiers to advertising partners may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information.
Where applicable, you may opt out through the cookie or privacy controls available on the Site, through a “Your Privacy Choices” link where displayed, or by contacting us at info@saltum.com.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age for targeted advertising.
8. Legal Bases for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that requires a lawful basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract: for example, to process and deliver your order.
- Consent: for example, for certain cookies or marketing communications.
- Legitimate interests: for example, improving the Site, preventing fraud, providing customer support, and operating our business, where those interests do not override your rights.
- Legal obligations: for example, maintaining tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and compliance records.
- Protection of legal rights: where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. International Data Transfers
SALTUM operates internationally and uses service providers located in multiple countries. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed outside the country where you live.
Where required, we and our service providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally approved transfer mechanisms.
Shopify may process merchant and customer information in multiple jurisdictions as described in Shopify’s privacy documentation: Shopify Privacy Policy .
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Services;
- complete orders and manage customer accounts;
- maintain tax, accounting, and transaction records;
- administer returns, warranties, rewards, and disputes;
- prevent fraud and protect our legal rights; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information, why it was collected, and applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely restrict it.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no transmission or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account password and login details confidential.
12. Automated Processing and Fraud Prevention
We and our providers may use automated tools to identify potentially fraudulent, unauthorized, or high-risk transactions.
For example, Shopify and payment providers may temporarily restrict transactions, payment methods, devices, cards, or IP addresses associated with suspected fraud or repeated failed payment attempts.
SALTUM does not ordinarily make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on customers, except where permitted by law and subject to appropriate safeguards.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of certain personal information;
- request a portable copy of certain information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of targeted advertising or certain data sharing;
- appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, where applicable; and
- submit a complaint to a relevant data-protection authority.
To submit a privacy request, email info@saltum.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of their authority and verification of the consumer’s identity.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
14. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.
As described above, SALTUM does not sell personal information for money. Certain advertising technologies may nevertheless qualify as “sharing,” “sale,” or “targeted advertising” under broadly defined state privacy laws.
Applicable choices may be exercised through the Site’s cookie or privacy settings or by emailing info@saltum.com.
15. European and United Kingdom Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability.
You may also withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis for processing. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing completed before consent was withdrawn.
You may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern.
16. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required by applicable law.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@saltum.com so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
17. Third-Party Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, carriers, payment providers, or social media services.
We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content of third-party services. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each third party before providing personal information.
18. Do Not Track and Preference Signals
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” settings. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for these signals, the Site may not respond to all Do Not Track requests.
Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we may recognize legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technologies, service providers, legal obligations, or business operations.
The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
